Family Profile:
I am married to my best friend and partner, Mike, a man who truly has been with me through many ups and downs and a true Water Sign. I have two, terrific sons, the apples of my eyes, Matthew and Calvin, who both challenge me and teach me. I am one of seven children; my parents (Pat and Carl) now deceased. My siblings (Kevin, Kathy, Steve, Maureen, Danny, Jeanne), are all married to wonderful partners. I have my newer family from my husband’s side – his parents, Sara and Vince and Mike’s three siblings (Joe, Lana and Teresa) with their partners, as well as my talented and oh so delightful, fifteen nieces and nephews, plus drum role… two on the way! Right now we have a black male cat named Raven-Paw, and two barn cats that came with the house, plus several goldfish.
Employment:
I am employed by the State of Vermont and I am a student through the University of Richmond, Office of Continuing Studies aiming toward a degree in Emergency Management.
Hobbies:
Walking on the beach collecting shells, boogie boarding in the ocean, whale watching, riding in trains, traveling, visiting national parks and stumbling upon breath-taking scenery, reading romance books, cake decorating, and spending time with my siblings and their families, as well as Mike’s extended family. I love to do crafts, take pictures, ride go-carts, go bowling, watch semi and professional baseball games while my husband collects autographs, play softball or volleyball, and watch my boys play sports; usually Ultimate Frisbee or Youth baseball. I love to swim and go camping – especially if it involves sitting around the campfire and toasting marshmallows while sharing stories. Kayaking down a river is a favorite, drumming with a great group of friends, fantasizing about/planning for my dream home, playing mini-golf, spring gardening, apple picking, decorating for the holidays, participating in pot lucks and cookouts, playing croquet, catalog shopping, and last but not least, I really love taking a long drive in the car with the music on loud, windows down and singing along to my favorite songs (sometimes, according to my family, making up words that aren’t really there – come on, you don’t really believe that do you?)
How my healing began:
While newly married I lived in Niagara Falls, New York. There was always that little piece inside of me where it felt like something was missing in my life and travel or shopping always seemed to take that edge off. I had the opportunity to visit my older brother Kevin and meet up with older sister Kathy, on a New Year’s weekend celebration in Seattle, Washington. Kathy, a self-declared Hunter Soul, gave me the Eagle and the Rose. I read it and immediately experienced that AHA! moment when you know there is some connection that needs to occur. My husband was a Navigator in the Air Force at that time and we moved quite a bit. I thought once we moved to England I would look Rosemary up. That never happened. We then moved to a couple of places in Germany, then Hickam AFB, Hawaii, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I kept reading Rosemary’s next book and the next book as they came out, still utterly fascinated and determined to meet her. Mike left the Air Force and we moved back to where he grew up – Vermont. ‘Round about that time, The Omega Institute advertised a conference called the Adventure of Being Alive in New York City, only seven hours drive away (did I say I like traveling and driving in the car?) and we went to the Conference just to see Rosemary. There were other fabulous people I wanted to see too but I left some of my registered conferences to keep going back to Rosemary. To my great surprise, I found out Rosemary had moved to Vermont where I had just moved! (There are no such things as coincidences…) I went to her next scheduled event at the Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester, Vermont. There she said she was starting a group and anyone who wished to be part of it, were to sign up. Needless to say my name went on that list and I have been coming back ever since!
Thousands of people have circulated through Rosemary’s classes and our Healing Center. Some come thinking they will have a consultation with her about a loved one who has passed on (she has her personal assistant take appointments for that), some want to see if she is for real – (they look to see if she has an ear bud sending her covert information – she doesn’t), some are just curious, some are dragged by a friend or family member, some come for a miracle and some really want to learn more. As a student, some get what they need after a short while and happily move on, and some end up staying, toughing it out and growing as never before. Classes are not for everyone. They are demanding, enlightening, emotional, frustrating and utterly rewarding. Rosemary draws much from us that we don’t even know we have within. It is daunting to take a look inside, at the real you, and connect to your own soul and understand that changes need to be made – and then know you must take an action! Whew! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
When the RAHEF was formed I became a member of the committee and a Chairperson. I now work at our Healing Center in Manchester, Vermont and the Healing Center in Ira, Vermont with the rest of our wonderful team. |
