Brief History of the R.A.A.H. and R.A.H.E.F

In 1981, Rosemary founded the R.A.A.H.,
the Rosemary Altea Association of Healers, which is based in Scunthorpe, the North of England, where we have a wonderful center with patients not only from the local areas, but also occassionally interested visitors from around the world attend the center. Since 1981 Rosemary has worked with her healing team, a small group of dedicated students, to promote the art and science of healing. Now Rosemary has launched the R.A.H.E.F, an offshoot of the R.A.A.H, which is based in the USA and so the R.A.A.H now comes under the umbrella of the RAHEF. Although R.A.H.E.F also has it's own members who are now working hard on their new US based foundation, a stunning location for Healing, learning, teaching and growing, the foundation as a whole is known as RAHEF with the British chapter, the RAAH.

Rosemary works closely with her spirit guide, Grey Eagle, her mentor and true founder of these organizations. She shares with us his words and wisdom, which will leave a profound impact on anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment.

The first R.A.A.H. Spiritual Healing Center was opened on 29 July 1986. The R.A.H.E.F center, in Ira Vermont, (the location of the "Rosemary Altea Healing and Educational Foundation") was first opened last year, after it was donated by, Llewella Day, one of Rosemary's patients. Llewella wanted to give the association a wonderful forum for the use of healing of both people and Animals. The R.A.H.E.F and the Ira center is a new venture and one that Rosemary and her new American team are working very hard to establish.

The R.A.A.H. in England, is a member of the British Alliance of Healing Association, which is affiliated to the Confederation of Healing Organizations in the United Kingdom. There is a National Register of Healers and because the R.A.A.H. has been approved as a training establishment, all our healer members are on the National Register.

Due to Rosemary's busy schedule she needed someone to care take the R.A.A.H. while she is away from the UK. Therefore I, Peter Boulton, am now the chairman of the R.A.A.H. and am on hand in the UK to deal with all the everyday workings of the association. However, Rosemary is always aware and consulted about everything that happens within the R.A.A.H., her help and wisdom is available at all times, and we are pleased to say that our team now successfully runs the organization in a professional and thoroughly effective manner. However, In order for her students to get to such a level, weekly classes were held for a small number of dedicated students who were prepared to commit their time and energies to developing the necessary sensitivity and compassion required to become good healers.

Over the years, our reputation in the Midlands and North of England, slowly spread. During the 1990's the localities in which we were known widened substantially thanks to Rosemary's promotion of the R.A.A.H. wherever she goes and we now have patients worldwide and this is now why Rosemary has launched the RAHEF center in Vermont.

The Structure of the R.A.A.H. and R.A.H.E.F

In our organizations we have three categories of membership:

HEALER, PROBATIONARY HEALER, and ASSOCIATE.

An ASSOCIATE member, although not actively involved with the healing process is never less valued. Not only are those members saying "we believe in the power of healing", we are very grateful for this kind of support.

A PROBATIONARY member is someone who, wishing to become a healer, has decided that our organization is not only qualified to give them the necessary training, but that he/she is comfortable within our group, and likes the methods of healing which we use. This member has come to these conclusions because we in the R.A.A.H. require all prospective students to visit, and to some small degree to become involved with, at least one of our centres each week for a period of some several months before they put forward their applications for PROBATIONARY membership.

A HEALER member is someone who has had at least three year plus training within this organization, regardless of the training they may have received elsewhere. Training within the R.A.A.H. is very stringent. Each student is required to attend at least one of the centres once a week for practical, hands-on training, and to attend classes, held every two weeks for more in-depth study. This requirement, although demanding, is always met. Even though all of our students and teachers give of their time freely, and voluntarily, most of them with full time occupations and families to support. Our HEALERS, having achieved their full healer status, understand the need to be consistent, reliable and compassionate. They understand the needs of the patients, and the patients first need is that we are there.

A HEALER must be dedicated. A PROBATIONARY HEALER must want to learn. An ASSOCIATE MEMBER must want to help. We in the R.A.A.H. are fortunate....we have all these things and more. We are indeed...a team.
